Last Afternoon in Lisbon & Sleep in Airport, Portugal

Instead of taking tram or bus back to the downtown of Lisbon, we take the train.

After visiting Mosteiro dos Jerónimos, we go to Padrão dos Descobrimentos to take the elevator to the top of monumont. On the top of the monument, we can enjoy the city view of Belém and Rio Tejo.

After buying some souvenirs from Feira da Ladra, we climb up the hill to enjoy one of the most beautiful city view in Lisbon.

We plan to go to Évora but the metro workers strike today. Hence, we go to some famous scenes in Alfama.

After we finish our dinner in front of Rossio square, we take a walk on the street of Lisbon.

We take the cute tram back to the downtown of Lisbon on the afternoon.

Get lost in Alfama 阿法瑪

Alfama is one of the most romantic area in Lisbon. It is named from the Arabic "Al-hamma," which means hot fountains. There are many old and beautiful buildings here. Tram 28 passes through Alfama and becomes an important transportation in Lisbon.

他取名自阿拉伯文-"噴泉"

Museu Nacional do Azulejo, 磁磚博物館

It's very hot on the afternoon. We get to find some places with air conditioner. Hence, we take the bus to Museu Nacional do Azulejo. Azulejo means "tile" in Portuguese.

五月中的里斯本很熱，

我們想找有冷氣的地方

所以就搭公車前往磁磚博物館~

Parque Eduardo VII 愛德華七世公園

After eating the lunch, we go to Parque Eduardo VII. It's closed to the metro station, Parque. There are many paintings of tiles in this metro station.

吃完午餐後我們就去愛德華七世公園

Castelo de São Jorge 聖喬治城堡

As we arrive at the hotel, it's about 5 pm. Castelo de São Jorge, the castle near the hotel, is closed at 9 pm in summer time. Hence, we go to visit the castle.

到飯店放好行李已經下午5點了，

離飯店很近的聖喬治城堡在夏天9點才關，

所以我們就走去聖喬治城囉~

We will go to Portugal from Taiwan today. In many Taiwanese impression, Portugal is only famous for pastel de nata and Age of Discovery. There are little books about traveling in Portugal. Before I go to this country, I have no ideal how amazing it is. I feel so sad when I need to end the trip.
